Samir Naguib Mekhail was born on the 23rd of August, 1943, and fell asleep in the Lord on the 14th of June, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
A faithful son of the Coptic Orthodox Church and a proud child of Egypt, Samir carried his faith and his heritage in everything he did. He devoted his working life to the service of others as a social worker in the government sector, a calling that mirrored the gentleness and quiet strength of his character.
Above all, he was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a steadfast presence for everyone fortunate enough to be near him. Those who knew him best describe him simply as an absolute titan of a man: strong, faithful, and unwavering in his love for his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa; his children, Engy, Samar and George, and their families; his cherished grandchildren, Kingston, Saxyn, Ireland, Emersen, Cairo, Exodus, Zuriel and Idara; and a wide community of relatives and friends who will carry his memory forward.
He fought a long and courageous fight, and he is resting now.
